The Intro to the Forest Series is part of our MCFC Summer Webinar series on ecologically-based forest management and forest stewardship. It’s a great way to learn the basics of ecological forestry, the unique flora found, and how to appreciate and explore the forest.

Mary Jane is our Executive Director and manages many of the daily operations here at the MCFC including forestry operations planning and supervision, business development, community outreach and private woodlot and research consulting. Originally hailing from Ontario, Mary Jane holds a Master’s in Forest Conservation and is a Registered Professional Forester in NS as well as a member of the Minister of Lands and Forestry’s Ecological Forestry Advisory Committee.
